Position Requirements:
– Computer Engineering diploma
– 2 years+ Software development experience.
– Professional experience with C/SQL software development projects
– Professional experience in software design, development, testing, and documentation
– Proficient with relational database technologies and concepts using ORACLE.
– Proficient in the coding of a separated, three layer (data layer, business layer, and user interface layer) architecture
– Working knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLCs) and their utilization in software development projects
– Strong problem solving ability, analytical and design skills
– Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office is desired
– Ability to apply group development standards and work constructively within a collaborative team environment

The British Embassy is looking for Communications Manager
Position summary:
The Communications Manager is a senior position within the British Embassy in Tunis. Reporting to the Head of Communications and External Politics, the Communications Manager is responsible for all aspects of external communications and raising the profile of the British Embassy.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter person who has a sound understanding of Tunisian current affairs, as well extensive knowledge and experience of working with the media and using digital communications.
We are interested in applications from candidates who have experience in strategic thinking, the energy to make new contacts and creativity to try new approaches to respond to the fast-paced political and social changes in Tunisia.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and implement a communication strategy that responds to all areas of the Embassy’s work.
Design and implement innovative communication campaigns that respond to Embassy priorities and events in Tunisia, the UK and worldwide.
Develop good quality content in English for the Embassy’s website and its social media channels.
Enhance Embassy engagement with the users of our social media channels.
Suggest ideas and draft articles, statements, social media posts and speeches for the Ambassador and other UK officials. Develop and implement media plans for visiting ministers.
Build and maintain a network of contacts across the Tunisian media scene, including press, TV, radio, digital media, bloggers and civil society.
Provide training and assistance on the effective use of digital tools to members of the Embassy.
Monitor and report on trends in the local digital and media landscape.
Staff and financial management.
Candidates must have:
High standard of spoken and written English (IELTS score of at least 7 or equivalent)
Bilingual level of spoken and written French and Arabic
Full knowledge and understanding of Tunisia’s media scene
Excellent grasp of communication trends and issues
Experience of communications and media campaigns
Experience of using digital and social media for corporate objectives
An interest in domestic and international politics and current affairs
Advanced IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft applications, and video and photo-editing skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Executive presence and professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communication, editing and presentation skills.
Experience of staff and financial management
The following are desirable but not essential
Interviewing and journalistic skills
Photography skills
Experience of working in media or within international organisations
